Dianne Gaumer Memorial Fund 

In the hearts of those who knew her, Dianne Gaumer was more than just a woman; she was a beacon of love, compassion, and unwavering dedication to the welfare of animals. Affectionately known as Nannie by her family, Dianne's spirit shone brightly and left an indelible mark on the lives she touched.

Dianne possessed a profound love for all creatures, no matter how big or small. Her passion for animals was evident in every facet of her life. She nurtured a deep connection with them, understanding their vulnerabilities and championing their right to a safe and happy existence. Her empathy knew no bounds.

One particular act of selflessness defined Dianne's dedication to saving lives. Time and time again, she and Daria would check on animals that had been tragically struck by cars. With tender care, they would assess their conditions, searching for a flicker of life. When hope was found, they would rush the injured animals to the nearest hospital, desperate to provide them with a chance at survival.

Together with her granddaughter Daria, Dianne would dream of a world where every animal in need would find a loving home. Their shared vision ignited a flame within Dianne's heart, and together they envisioned the creation of a sanctuary where animals could find solace and a second chance at life. However, when Daria was in middle school, Dianne was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer's, and the dream to start an animal rescue together faded. Dianne lost her battle and went to heaven Daria's sophomore year of college.

Inspired by Dianne's unwavering commitment to these helpless creatures, Daria started ARK Pet Rescue the winter of 2020. In 2023 the Dianne Gaumer Memorial Fund was established. This fund is to be a testament to her love and a means to raise crucial resources directly allocated to helping animals that had fallen victim to accidents on the roads. The hope is this fund can be a beacon of hope, embodying Dianne's legacy of compassion and healing.

Though Dianne may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the hearts of all who knew her. Her love for animals, her unwavering kindness, and her determination to make a difference continue to inspire and guide us. The world is a better place because she was in it, and her legacy serves as a constant reminder that every life—no matter how small—deserves our care and protection.
